When golf legend and course designer Greg Norman visited The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip last year, he called the site one of the two best he’s ever had that the privilege to work with (the other being Doonbeg in Ireland).

You won’t have to wait long to judge for yourself, either. That’s because on 14 March 2014, The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip – the most highly anticipated new course in Asia – will open for ‘preview play’.

As The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip’s General Manager, tomorrow is a day that I have been looking forward to for a very long time. Although previously working as the GM of award-winning courses in Vietnam, including another designed by Greg Norman, I am honored to be associated with this project, which I firmly believe marks the beginning of a new era in Vietnamese golf.

Routed over and around towering seaside sand dunes less than two hours southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip is one of few Championship-caliber links courses with significant elevation changes, which make for a golf experience that's as much a feast for the eyes as a challenge to tame.

While the highest point of the rugged, windswept property is 50 meters above sea level, on the 15th green, one of the most spectacular spots comes earlier in the round, on the 4th hole. From there, you are presented with a 360-degree view of the course, of the surrounding national forest that's a haven for wildlife, of the expansive shoreline and of The Grand Ho Tram Strip, which opened in July 2013 as Vietnam's first international luxury integrated resort.

The course has all the elements necessary to be ranked among the best in the world. It is golf in its purest, most traditional links form, in a setting that has no rival.

Our team has been working tirelessly to finish the course and provide an experience we know you will thoroughly enjoy. We are also putting the finishing touches on our membership program (more details below) and laying the groundwork for a series of fun golfing events over these next few months.

Soon, this amazing property will include an elegant, 2,300-square-meter clubhouse housing an array of dining outlets and a PGA-staffed driving range with more than 3,000 square meters worth of practice and training facilities. We shall welcome the return of The Great White Shark, Greg Norman later in 2014 to officially open The Bluffs for our Grand Opening Gala event.

The Bluffs and The Grand Ho Tram Strip are among several components of The Ho Tram Strip's first stage of development. The ambitious project already features a 541-room luxury hotel, over 10 restaurants and bars, a spa, nightclub, convention center and casino with 90 gaming tables and over 600 slot machines.
